A UK based contracting authority is seeking tenders for the provision of document scanning service. Initially this is for a pilot area and, subject to review, may be extended to other services.

The ultimate objectives of this project are:-

1. To establish a documents scanning service for authority Council
2. To have converted to electronic format the paper based files in those service areas where there are large volumes of 'live' files, currently the Social Services and Human Resources functional areas.
3. To have imported the electronic files into the Anite AIM EDRM system.
   

The work is open for everybody and would be offshore or onshore based on the management of the documents which the providers need to facilate of their own. Their is no specific duration of the contract and the closing date to apply for the contract is 7/14/2008 so interested companies are requested to send their proposal before the deadline.
